Welcome To Dexter Middle School! My name is Mrs. S. Walker and I am looking forward to a great year in Math 7. In order to create the best learning environment possible, classroom expectations have been developed for students and I ask that you and your child read through them carefully together. Grades: Math 7 grades will be based on Tennessee State Standards for Math 7 and the class will follow the Eureka Math curriculum. All assignments will be out of 100 points. This class will follow the grading scale of the Shelby County Schools.

Daily Supplies Needed for Math 7: Students will need to bring all supplies needed for Math 7 each day. Students will not be allowed to return to their locker for missing items.

Expectations and Guidelines: The goal of this class is to master the Tennessee State Standards for Math 7. At the start of the class period, students are expected to be seated at their desks quietly, with their required daily supplies, ready to begin bell work. Students should have all necessary materials ready for class every day. As a member of this class you are expected to:
Be on time to class
Follow the school dress code
Bring all necessary materials
Students will not prevent the teacher from teaching or others from learning
Students will show respect for others and their possessions
Students will follow directions given by faculty and staff members the first time given
Students will keep hands, feet, and other objects to themselves
Student will stay in their seats and talk only with permission from teacher
Students will not eat, drink, or chew gum in the classrooms or hallways
Students will move quietly in the halls, restrooms, and cafeteria

Homework and Assignments: Students should bring their assignment book to class each day. All homework, tests, and projects dates must be recorded in your planner.
Absences/make up work: If a student is absent, it is his/her responsibility to get their makeup work.
